Add it first: Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards → Add New Keyboard… → KlaroKey. Then in any app, tap (or hold) the 🌐 key and choose KlaroKey.

iOS requires it for any keyboard that makes network requests. KlaroKey uses the network for exactly one thing: the AI buttons (Fix / Translate / Tone), and only when you tap them. Typing and spelling suggestions are fully offline and work without Full Access. Nothing you type is ever logged or sent while typing — see the privacy policy.

Check in order:

1 — Is Allow Full Access on for KlaroKey in Settings?
2 — In the KlaroKey app → Settings → AI endpoint: is a mode configured? (Your own Anthropic API key in direct mode, or a server URL.) Tap Test connection there — it tells you exactly what is wrong.
3 — Is there a sentence before the cursor, or text selected?
4 — Direct mode has a safety cap of 200 requests/day — if you hit it, it resets tomorrow.

You can power the AI buttons with your own key from console.anthropic.com. The key is stored in your device's Keychain, is sent only to the endpoint shown in Settings (Anthropic by default) to authenticate your own requests, and you pay Anthropic directly for usage. KlaroKey operates no server in this mode and never sees your text or your key. Advanced: you can point the Endpoint field at an Anthropic-compatible gateway you trust — https is required (http only for localhost).

Never. Every AI result appears in the preview bar above the keys first. Your document changes only when you tap ✓ Apply, and the Undo button reverses the last replacement. If the text under the cursor changed while a preview was open, KlaroKey refuses to apply it rather than guessing.

Add names or terms (products, people, project codenames) in the KlaroKey app → Settings → Protected terms. Every fix, translation, and rewrite keeps them exactly as you wrote them. If a term couldn't be preserved, the preview shows a warning icon.

アプリの設定で名前や固有名詞を登録すると、修正・翻訳・トーン変更でも必ずそのまま保持されます。

KlaroKey Pro is an auto-renewing subscription managed by Apple. Manage or cancel it in Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions. To restore on a new device, open the KlaroKey app → Pro tab → Restore Purchases. We never see your payment details.
